Independence: Who really declares it? March 30, 2010

Is high school really the way to go? Who decides that youth have to get up at the crack of dawn and drag ourselves to a place like high school? I feel the same way about age restrictions, who decided that I have to be a certain age to do certain things in my life. I know that certain age restrictions aren’t going to be changed but I do have an idea how to work around it.

The whole concept of middle should be erased completely, elementary school should be grades k-6 then high school should start right after that for grades 7-10 so kids can still leave wit a high school diploma. Now youth will not have to wait until they are 18 to get out of their parents houses and start their lives as adults. By 10th grade most youth are 16 anyway so that way they can have a license and get a job or because they now have a high school diploma they can go to college and work on a career. If this goes into place then the voting age should be lowered to 16 because now youth will be a little wiser and be able to make good decisions on important topics.

Its 2010 time for a change, we already started with a black president lets keep the flow going.
